Ed Brooks
Edward Brooks, Life Underwriting Training Council (LUTC), is Vice President of Chappell, Smith & Associates, Inc. He has been with the company since 1983 and serves as the Director of the Financial Services Division, which includes employee benefits, group life insurance, individual life insurance for pilots, group health and disability, and other related coverage. Ed graduated from Purdue University’s Life Insurance Marketing Institute after serving in the U.S. Navy in aviation maintenance administration and as an air crewman aboard the aircraft carrier USS Bennington. A consummate team player, Ed’s accomplishments at CS&A go hand-in-hand with those of his peers as his success for twenty-three years in the insurance industry shows.

Anytime you have more than two business owners in the same place, inevitably their discourse turns to the specifics of their ventures. “Business owners are always comparing health insurance premiums and benefits,” Ed Brooks of CS&A’s Employee Benefits division confirms.

When premiums are compared, the reality is that health benefits can be one of a company’s largest expenses and having a broker that understands the competitive insurance landscape and your company’s individual needs is a significant advantage in the marketplace.

With this in mind, CS&A’s Employee Benefits Division reviews your company’s medical claims history. They then structure a plan that will provide the right coverage with a dependable insurance carrier so that business owners can focus on running their businesses. CS&A is constantly monitoring the performance of its health care underwriters so clients are provided with quality service and prompt payments of claims with a minimum of difficulty.

AVIATION SUPPORT www.aviationinsurance.com
CS&A’s Employee Benefits Division uses the agency’s aviation knowledge to negotiate life insurance coverage and affordable premiums for professional pilots. Their account executives know, for instance, that a pilot is required to have a regular physical, what a pilot’s flying experience is in a particular type of aircraft, what his total hours are in an aircraft, and what types of flying he does. All of this affects premiums. CS&A educates life insurance underwriters on the exact risks they are taking when insuring a pilot. “Once we explain the situation clearly, it is not a blind risk to them anymore,” Ed explains.
