Personal Insurance
As an Independent Insurance Agency, the Personal Lines Division of Chappell, Smith & Associates, Inc. represents a variety of insurance companies. These companies are selected on breadth and completeness of coverage, financial strength and complete and prompt claims service, as well as price competitiveness. In addition to our more conventional Personal Lines portfolio of products, we offer several personal package policies. This is the concept of combining homeowner and auto coverages into one policy. Usually, the package offers additional frill coverages and premium package discounts.

Financial Strength
Chappell, Smith & Associates, Inc. makes every effort to work with the insurance companies of highest financial caliber. Using A.M. Best, the industry's standard financial rating guide, we select insurance carriers bearing an A or A+ rating and having adequate premium size to avoid single loss vulnerability. Quality and security is what we sell. (Due to occasional underwriter placement problems, B+ (very good) rated companies must be used on certain hard-to-place accounts. In these cases, the client is always advised of the financial rating in advance.)

Claims Service
Prompt and complete claims handling is the product we sell. As your insurance agent, we will work on your behalf to see that your claim, whether property or liability, is handled exactly as dictated by your policy. By using top notch insurance companies, our job of supervising claims is easy.

Price Competitiveness
We know paying for insurance is not your most joyous task. Most families spend from 5% to 10% of their gross income annually on insurance premiums. At Chappell, Smith & Associates, Inc., our objective is to secure the best coverage for the most competitive price. The most competitive price does not mean the cheapest premium at any given point in time. Our objective is to hold premium fluctuations and cycles to a minimum. Averaging out the severe highs and lows assures our client of a competitive price over any five to ten year period. This long term approach will solidify client/company relationships by minimizing constant carrier changes. In some cases, renewal discounts can be given for staying with the same insurance company.

To insure competitive pricing, Chappell, Smith & Associates, Inc., subscribes to an automated rating service. This service enables comparison premium shopping at the flip of a switch. At each renewal, you will know premium trend changes by comparing actual quotations from the industry leaders.
