The CS&A Restaurant Insurance Program provides access to insurance for both business and personal needs. With our exclusive contracts and agreements with our insurance companies, we’re able to offer full lines of coverage along with competitive pricing that standard competitors can not. Whether it is white table cloth dining, a catering operation, one or one hundred franchise locations, there is nothing that we can not handle.

Along with our Restaurant Division, our Large Commercial Accounts Department works with clients ranging from new home builders to metal and products manufacturers. One of the largest challenges facing these industries is loss control and job site safety. Our trained staff can help with our client’s loss control and job safety programs and procedures. Additionally, in the event of a claim, our designated claims personnel monitor each step of the claims process to ensure their covered claim is handled as quickly and efficiently as possible.

From the trucking business to large manufacturers, “when we do a good job in one area for our customers, they ask us about our other lines of business,” Todd says. Lines include property, liability, crime, worker’s compensation, umbrella, bonds, Employment Practices Liability Insurance (EPLI), and auto. Coverage amounts can be as small as $250,000 or as high as $100 million through a variety of A-rated carriers. When working with a client, Steve says, “Commission is not a factor—it’s what is the best thing for the client that matters."

Steve Lee

Steve brings over thirty-six years of experience in placing commercial coverages to Chappell, Smith & Associates, Inc., which he joined in 2005. He began his career as an underwriting assistant with Employers Insurance of Wausau then transitioned to the agent side of insurance with Corroon & Black. He was a partner with Security Insurance for twenty-four years. Steve earned his Chartered Property Casualty Underwriters (CPCU) designation in 1976 and served as president of the Middle Tennessee Chapter of CPCU in 1983. At CS&A, a large portion of Steve’s work is with the restaurant industry—franchisers and franchisees of fast food and full service restaurants, as well as with privately owned higher-end restaurants.

Todd Lee

Todd joined Chappell, Smith & Associates, Inc. in 2005 having worked in the insurance field since 1997. Todd is a University of Tennessee graduate in finance and economics and began his insurance career as a claims adjuster with Travelers Insurance Company. He later worked as a claims specialist in commercial business interruption claims, and was a partner with Security Insurance producing commercial accounts.
